Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Lyn Tally followed a childhood dream pursuing the opportunity to dance professionally in the ballet. After years of training, Lyn entered the Boston Ballet as an apprentice in the company. Staying four years with the
artistic group she chose to retire as a soloist from the art form and return to South Carolina.
Yoga was a natural transition for Lyn as she began a new path without ballet. Gaining a 200 hour certification with Gaea Yoga in Charleston, SC in 2004, Lyn began teaching at Blue Turtle Yoga and later taught at Serenity Now Yoga in Mount Pleasant. In May 2007 she took a job at The Sprout, a local vegan cafe, allowing her to explore a whole foods diet and understanding the benefits of healthy culinary alternatives.
Our mental, physical, and spiritual foundations affect the way we approach yoga. Understanding our different circumstances, Lyn individualizes a practice even when it is a group class. Her lighthearted spirit helps keep a rigorous class up-lifting, joyful and inspiring.
